Vol.35, Issue 2 is Out Now!

The Bilingual Review/Revista Bilingüe is pleased to announce the publication of the journal’s newest issue, Vol. 35, No. 2 (2023): Teaching en y a Través de Dos Idiomas: Strategies in Bilingual Education.
This issue features perspectives on translation, bilingual education, and Chicano literature. We are featuring the article “‘Aman Tanto a Mi Hija que Hasta Vienen a Visitarla en Mi Casa’: Teaching and Learning from Home Visits with Emergent Bilingual Families” by Dr. Luz A. Murillo Benjumea, Lizbeth Cano, and Reyna Albertina Guevara. We are also pleased to republish “Linguistic Intolerance: The (e)Spanglish Debates” by the renowned Dr. Ana Celia Zentella.
This issue also features the Spanish-language article “Gubernamentalidad y formación de maestros: Hacia una historización de la intervención educativa en los niños bilingües” by Dr. Belen Hernando-Llorens and Dr. Claudia Cervantes-Soon. Also, rounding out our Research section, is “The Translation of Latinx Children’s Picture Books Reconsidered: Texts, Contexts, and Complications” by Dr. Camelly Cruz-Martes as well as “Revisiting Tomás Rivera’s … y no se lo tragó la tierra: (Everyday) Trauma and the Monomyth” by Dr. Sylvia López.
In our Literature section, we are featuring poetry by Randy Koch and the award-winning Dr. Suzette Bishop.
